h.g. wells once said, "every time i see an adult on a bicycle, i no longer despair for the future of the human race."
i couldn't agree more, which is one of the reasons i love the "bike project" that my favorite crafty couple, shauna and stephen of something's hiding in here undertook last year.
they found a pair of great raleigh bikes from the 1960's and fully refurbished them-- new paint, parts, seats, even handle grips. here are some photos of their bikes, before and after.

love the bike basket? here's an awesome green one from design house stockholm at huset-shop.com

to wrap up this ode to bicycles, here's a fitting song from a singer and songwriter i know personally, amy correia (pronounced like"korea").
her newest album, "you go your way" is available for order here.
"you go your way" album art by scottish artist lindsey carr.
here's a favorite song of mine from her "carnival love" album, released in 2000.
