jean-luc godard's "a bout de souffle (breathless)" is one of my favorite films. if you haven't seen it, i really recommend it.
it's french, bold, stylish, and dramatic-- a classic french new wave film.

i love the simple french style and short hair worn in "breathless" by american actress jean seberg. it's feminine without being too cute-- perfect.

in the film, jean seberg's character, patricia, is an american selling and trying to write for the new york herald tribune newspaper.
the top she's wearing above has become iconic-- if you'd like a t-shirt of your own, you can find them here.
the skirted top from harvey faircloth's spring 2010 collection seems like something patricia would wear, as does nearly everything in the latest built by wendy collection.
i must have these things.
